Roll Up AutoMobile Mechanic

Terms & warranty

Last updated October 3, 2026

These terms apply when you book service with Roll Up Auto (“we”, “us”) through this website. By booking you agree to them. In short: you see your price before we start, nothing extra is done without your OK, you can cancel free up to 12 hours ahead, and covered repairs carry a 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty.

Quotes & pricing

  • Online quotes are for the vehicle, engine and services you enter and are good for 7 days. Parts, labor and travel are included.
  • If the vehicle details are wrong, or the job turns out to be different once we see the car (for example a seized bolt, a different part, or a related failure), we'll explain and give you a new price before doing any extra work. You can say no and pay only for the work you approved.
  • Some quotes are marked “we'll confirm this one personally.” Nothing is charged for those until we confirm the price and you approve it.
  • Diagnostic visits are a flat fee. If you book the repair we recommend within 30 days, the diagnostic fee is credited toward it.
  • Promotions and bundle discounts apply only as shown in your quote and can't be combined unless your quote shows it.

Payment

  • You can pay a $50 deposit when you book (applied to your total) or pay in full. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
  • With a deposit, your card is saved and the remaining balance — plus any extra work you approved — is charged when the job is done. If that charge doesn't go through, we'll text you a secure payment link, due the same day.
  • Pay-over-time options (Affirm, Klarna, Afterpay) are offered by those companies under their own terms.

Cancellation & rescheduling

  • Free cancellation or rescheduling up to 12 hours before the start of your arrival window. Use the link in your confirmation text. Cancel in time and you get a full refund of anything you paid.
  • Cancelling within 12 hours of your arrival window: the $50 deposit (or $50 of a paid-in-full booking) is kept to cover the reserved time; the rest is refunded.
  • No access: if we arrive during your window and can't reach the vehicle or keys, or it isn't safe or allowed to work where it's parked, it counts as a late cancellation.
  • If we have to cancel or reschedule — weather that makes the work unsafe, illness, or a job that ran long — you choose a new time or get a full refund.
  • Appointment requests and quotes waiting for our confirmation can be cancelled any time at no charge.
  • Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually show up in 5–10 business days.

Warranty

12-month / 12,000-mile parts & labor warranty, whichever comes first, from the date of service, on: Front Brake Pads, Rear Brake Pads, Front Pads + Rotors, Rear Pads + Rotors, Battery Replacement, Spark Plugs, Serpentine Belt, Alternator Replacement, Starter Replacement.

  • What's covered: a part we installed that fails from a defect, or a problem caused by our workmanship. We'll repair or replace it at no charge, at your location within our service area.
  • Parts: many parts also carry the manufacturer's own warranty (for example, a battery's free-replacement period). Where it's longer than ours, we'll help you use it; after our warranty ends, manufacturer coverage is for the part only.
  • Not covered: normal wear (brake pads and rotors wear out with use; warped rotors from heat or hard use aren't a defect), damage from accidents, misuse, racing, off-roading, flooding or neglect; parts you supplied; other repairs or failures that weren't part of our job; work changed or repaired by someone else. Fleet vehicles are covered under the terms of your fleet agreement.
  • Not included: towing, rental cars, lost time, or other incidental or consequential costs, except where Texas law doesn't allow this to be excluded.
  • How to claim: open the link from your booking text and use “Warranty claim,” or send us a message, before having anyone else work on it. Keep driving to a minimum if continuing could cause more damage. We may need to inspect the old part.
  • Oil changes, diagnostics, inspections and add-ons (filters, wipers, bulbs, tire rotations) are guaranteed for workmanship — if something we did isn't right, tell us within 30 days and we'll make it right — but don't carry the 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty.
  • This warranty is for the person who booked and the vehicle we worked on, and doesn't transfer when the vehicle is sold.

On the day

  • You choose an arrival window, not an exact time. We'll text when we're on the way.
  • You confirm you're allowed to have work done where the car is parked (your property, your employer's or apartment lot rules). Work must be on a reasonably level surface with room to work safely.
  • You don't need to be there as long as we can get to the car and keys. Leave instructions in the booking notes.
  • Light rain is fine. If weather makes the work unsafe, we'll reschedule at no charge.
  • We take used oil, filters, batteries and old parts for recycling unless you ask to keep them.
  • We may decline or stop work that isn't safe to do on site, or that needs a lift or full shop. You only pay for work completed.

Text messages

  • If you opt in, we text you about your quote or appointment: confirmations, a reminder the day before, “on my way,” payment links, and one follow-up if you asked us to text you a quote. Message frequency varies with your booking.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • We don't sell your number or share it for marketing. See our privacy policy.

Liability

  • We take reasonable care with your vehicle and property. Tell us before we start about anything we should know (aftermarket parts, existing damage, warning lights).
  • We aren't responsible for problems that existed before our work or that aren't related to it, or for items left in the vehicle.
  • To the extent Texas law allows, our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job, plus the warranty remedies above.
  • We may update these terms; the version on this page when you book applies to that booking.
